DESCRIPTION

Provides direct care to critical care patients using the nursing process in the clinic setting. Develops and provides treatment plans as requested. Promotes self care through education. Organizes and maintains clinic equipment and supplies. These units provide care to a vast array of medical cardiology patients including cardiothoracic surgeries that include lung/heart transplants, coronary artery bypass, valve replacement and pulmonary thromboendarterectomies. These units utilize advanced training and skills to take care of high acuity complex patients. 24 hour physician coverage on this unit.

May be required to work variable hours including overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have CA RN license, BCLS (BART) and ACLS (ART).

  • Must have recent acute care experience in critical care or Telemetry experience.

  • Must be a team player and have good communication skills.

PREFERRED

  • Prefer candidates with PCCN, CSC, and CMC certifications.

  • Experience with Cardiopulmonary and cardiac care.
