The Multi-Specialty Clinic brings together specialists in medical oncology, surgical oncology, hematology oncology, and gynecologic oncology. This is a oncology nurse case manager position for the Moores Cancer Center Multi Specialty Clinic. Variable hours and covering various disease teams with primary focus on GI patients. Coverage for sick calls, vacation, and messaging coverage for the case management team.
Clinical Nurse needs to have strong clinical and communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with oncology health care teams in ensuring optimal care for patients and families with cancer in busy outpatient oncology clinic.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

- RN license issued by the State of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
- Must have a minimum of six (6) months of active nursing experience.
- Recent hospital and outpatient experience in oncology.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN or MSN.
- Oncology Certification (OCN).
- Two (2) or more years of medical and/or surgical oncology experience.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, and on-call based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
