#97943 (LVN) Sr. Licensed Vocational Nurse-MRI

Under general supervision of a registered nurse (RN) in the assigned department, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, patient education, venipuncture, and IV access.

Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. Assigned to the most difficult cases requiring independent judgment. Assists in training Vocational Nurses and per diem Vocational Nurses. Performs other related Sr LVN duties as assigned.


  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a vocational nurse in a similar role and setting.

  • Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.

  • Proven LVN experience in direct patient care; skills in accurately taking and recording vital signs, height and weight; administering medication including injections; interviewing patients; and collecting and/or testing specimens.


  • ACLS and/or ART.
  • Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience as a vocational nurse in a similar role and setting.
  • Knowledge of PCIS, IDX, and EPIC computer systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.


  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, as necessary.
  • Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
