Under direct supervision, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for customer service, registration, appointment scheduling and insurance verification. Typical duties include answering multi-line incoming customer calls, completing online registration, scheduling appointments and securing authorization for scheduled services. Expedite Epic orders. Operate CRT to gain and input information. Assist with Speech Language Pathology (SLP) scheduling at Moores Cancer Center. Other duties as assigned.
Previous experience working in a large, complex healthcare setting.
Demonstrated front desk experience.
A minimum of two to three (2 - 3) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.
- Call center experience.
- Experience with Epic, Solidus, and Cisco.
- Medical Terminology.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Previous ambulatory clinic experience in surgery/otolaryngology/oncology head and neck surgery.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
