Under supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Social Worker II (CSW II) will be responsible for providing most aspects of clinical care for the Eating Disorders Treatment Program in the Department of Psychiatry.
The CSW II will work as Eating Disorder Clinical Social Worker providing individual, group, family psychotherapy, and multi-family therapy to patients. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex cases and multiple diagnoses; in collaboration with a staff psychiatrist determine case disposition when psychiatric hospitalization and/or medication are needed; evaluate and interpret the psychosocial aspects of mental and emotional disturbances to families and other health professionals; maintain clinical records; participate in program evaluation; participate in treatment development; and in determining the needs for new services; provide consultation to and maintain liaison with campus/community programs; and provide teaching, supervision, consultation and in-service training to interns, students, and staff.
The CSW II will act as one of the primary case managers and therapists for patients in program. The incumbent will also provide case management including coordination of care with other providers, obtaining ongoing authorization of treatment, and providing weekly therapy sessions. Administer assessments to patients that will inform their diagnosis and treatment plan. Attend weekly training's, workshops, and report on patient progress in weekly treatment team meetings. Commitment to continuing continuation hours and further education in the field.
A Master's Degree from an accredited school of Social Work or related fields.
Possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
Demonstrated competency in providing cognitive-behavioral and/or behavioral treatment.
- Proven experience in providing meal support to patients with eating disorders.
- Demonstrated experience in treating individuals with eating disorders.
- Solid training or demonstrated experience in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Solid training and experience in evidence-based therapies for anxiety, depression, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in group therapy.
- Proven experience in providing meal support to eating disorder patients.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
