The Epic Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst provides leadership and oversight on a wide variety of duties related to Information Technology applications, specifically the Epic Health Information Management applications.
Responsibilities include; provide leadership, serve as technical resource to the team, design, develop, test, implement, and evaluate health information management applications for the organization. The Epic HIM Analyst works on team with planning, development, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support ongoing operations and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the application.
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
A minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience with Epic Health Information applications.
Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four (4) months of initial hire.
Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- Epic HIM analyst.
- Epic HIM- Release of Information certification.
- Epic HIM- Coding certification.
- Epic HIM- Deficiency Tracker certification.
- Epic- Identity certification.
- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
- Experience with supporting 3M 360 Computer Assisted Coding software.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
