The Occupational Therapist is responsible for OT patient service delivery including evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients. Completes required documentation and communicates patient information across the continuum of care. Participates in training and program development, represents the department to the medical and general community. Demonstrates competence in the UCSD Health core values. Responsible for education of departmental staff in areas of advanced clinical care and customer service.
Depending on experience, the selected candidate will be hired at the OTII or OTIII Specialist level.
Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Occupational Therapist (OT) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in lymphedema care.
- Three years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Clinical Instructor experience.
- Acute care experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- May flex and float between sites as needed.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
