The Administrative Coordinator handles all scheduling and preparation including insurance verification, record collection and diagnosis triage for all referrals to Radiation Oncology, maintains data bases for reporting and scheduling/acts as mentor to others on team in department.
Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
A minimum two (2+) or more years of relevant experience.
Experience and proven success in clinic medical billing practices including, billing systems and documentation requirements.
Knowledge of ambulatory care clinic practice management including patient care workflows and processes.
Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and clinical knowledge of clinic practice area.
* Extensive experience with insurance verification.
* Experience using EPIC/Cadence.
* Experience working with an Oncology Radiation Department.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
