Provides centralized reception and administrative functions for the Main Operating Room. Facilitates urgent changes in OR schedules. Monitors status of all surgery cases and provides pertinent information to the physicians, staff, families and others regarding ongoing OR activity. Maintains employee timekeeping records as needed. Performs various administrative duties including the development and maintenance of various reports, correspondence and presentations as assigned.
Two (2) years of recent administrative experience in an Operating Room (or similar healthcare environment), with a variety of surgical cases.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must posses effective time management skills.
Must be highly detail-oriented.
Must possess the ability to work effectively and equitably with others.
- Medical terminology training and/or certificate.
- Customer Service, Multi-phone lines and database management experience.
- Working knowledge of EPIC/OpTime system.
- Experience with TPS or other payroll systems.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations (including weekends and evenings) according to business needs.
