Under general supervision, the administrative assistant provides administrative support to the Center for Transplantation and acts as primary resource to answer phone and greet patients and visitors. Administrative responsibilities include: coordinate monthly mailings, update information and enter encounters in EPIC, create and maintain patient information packets, coordinate department purchasing and monitor supply resources, coordinate catering, sort/distribute mail, participate in set up for patient education meetings. Other duties as assigned.


  • Previous administrative experience in a large, complex healthcare system.

  • Proficient to expert level in Microsoft Office.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work in interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills.

  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high s standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.


  • A minimum of two (2) years previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in a transplant program.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (oral and written fluency).
  • Working knowledge of EPIC.


  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
