Under general supervision performs in depth complex reviews, analyzes and codes provider documentation to assign CPT codes for reimbursement using ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes for the radiology service line. Performs final diagnoses and procedure(s) as stated by physicians are valid and complete and that documentation matches what was submitted by provider. Provides feedback to be shared with departments on trends that are seen while working in specialty areas. Maintains compliance with rules and regulations regarding coding.
Graduation from High School or GED; or equivalent experience.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
Must have three (3) years of comparable coding experience.
Strong skills in CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPC coding applications.
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Radiology coding experience.
- EPIC experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Must be able to work overtime if required.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
