Serve under the direction of the Department of Facilities Planning and Management as the Department Facilities and Special Projects Coordinator in matters related to space planning, moving services, equipment, safety and various special projects within the Department. Participate in the space planning process, research, gather and provide data for decision making. Review project budgets and manage construction projects including time line.
Provide data and technical information for long range planning recommendations, complete or coordinate complex space assessments and moving projects. Review existing facilities management departmental policies and procedures and provide recommendations for changes and/or additions. Oversee all maintenance issues and needs of facilities on an on-going basis. Maintain space inventory & provide logistical support for moves. Perform other related functions as required.
Prior experience with relocating large offices or clinics, providing all logistical support including assistance with IT work orders, equipment relocation, and furniture relocation.
Competent with Microsoft Office, and large data base software systems.
Must be able to communicate with diverse group of customers during space surveying process.
Proven knowledge and ability to coordinate complex space planning and analysis, space utilization analysis, and manage details of complex moves.
Demonstrated experience inputting information into large databases.
Experience with surveying and gathering information from diverse customers.
Experience working in Health care.
Demonstrated skill in using computerized systems for facilities and furniture/equipment space planning.
Working knowledge of University, federal, state and OP requirements for the management of inventorial property activity.
Knowledge of UCSD Health policies and procedures, particularly in regard to the areas of facilities planning, management and renovation and budgetary areas.
Must be able to work various hours & locations based on business needs.
