Assist with research study on veteran health. Duties will include phone calls with potential study subjects to explain study participation, email links to online questionnaires and provide follow-up with subjects regarding missing data. Modify online questionnaire (using Qualtrics survey software) as requested by the PI. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of interviews and all data collected and assessing the appropriateness of responses. Must be alert to sensitive, personal information and must ensure completeness of data for each interview. Provide assistance with subject recruitment and recruitment tracking. Provide other general research assistance as directed by the PI to include grant and scholarly product administrative tasks.
Graduation from high school or a GED and one (1) year of experience, preferably in public contact work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Strong writing and communication skills with ability to draft letters and memos, using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition, text editing, and excellent proofreading skills.
Proficient experience using word processing applications, creating spreadsheets and reports, and entering data into databases and spreadsheets. Experience with Qualtrics survey software or willingness to be trained.
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize workload.
Demonstrated experience working independently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle repetitive details.
- Experience conducting phone or in-person interviews with research participants relating to medical or psychological studies with ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Experience in a biomedical research setting.
