General Accountant III involves accounting functions such as analyzing, monitoring, preparing and reconciling financial information to reflect the condition of the organization and provide financial and other statistical data to control operations. Also may involve preparation of financial reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements. May include activities relating to developing, implementing and monitoring accounting systems, policies and procedures.


  • Seven years or more of related experience, education/training as Staff or Senior Accountant with G/L, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training as Staff or Senior Accountant with G/L.

  • Proven experience and thorough knowledge of accounting function and assignments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong ability to write and explain policies and procedures after analyzing business requirements, regulations and similar information.


  • Hospital accounting experience.

  • Public accounting experience.

  • Professional certification.

  • Experience compiling and reporting key statistically data.

  • Experience calculating Net Patient Revenue.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and GASB pronouncements.

  • Significant demonstrated knowledge and work experience in the application of the generally accepted theories, principles and practice of accounting.


  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
