Under general supervision, responsible for setting up and assisting physician/nurse/respiratory therapist in all pulmonary endoscopy procedures (including EBUS, rigid bronchoscopies as well as other advanced procedures), performing simple bronchoscopies and thoracentesis with physicians/nurse endoscopist, maintain equipment and assure appropriate scope washing compliance, coordinate internal and external supply orders, restock and maintain inventory, assist in billing functions and in maintaining unit statistics, assist with administrative tasks in the department and perform necessary admission.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
- Two (2) years of experience in aGI/Pulmonary endoscopy unit.
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Proven working knowledge of outpatient services with recent direct patient care experience.
- Endoscope Reprocessor Certified (CFER).
- Four (4)+ years of GI Procedural Tech or Tech experience.
- LVN or EMT/Paramedic.
- MA certificate.
