Reporting to the Practice Manager, and working under the clinical direction of the clinic's registered nurses, the Sr. LVN performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes, but not limited to, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, patient education and making follow up clinic appointments. Position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the LVN or Sr. LVN level.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
LVN experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
Must possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Ambulatory experience.
- Two to three (2 - 3) years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Experience working in Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, and/or Pulmonary
- Must be able to work flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.
- Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
