The Workplace Technology Services (WTS) team provides campus-wide services including; email, collaboration and productivity tools, business intelligence and analytics platforms, Service Desk, Field Support, endpoint management and software distribution for UC San Diego and affiliates.

The Service Management Tools Team is responsible for providing world class service through ongoing maintenance and development of systems and tools supporting case management, project management, collaboration, and other processes and functions. This team will configure and support new and existing features for ITS, partners, and customers.

Responsibilities:
• As the analyst for the team supporting ServiceNow, the incumbent will be responsible for the development and improvement of reports, dashboards, and trending analytics in the platform. They will also facilitate team and customer meetings and assist with the generation of team and end-user documentation.
• This position will be responsible for analysis of potential development work and the translation of these requests to actionable development requirements and project management tasks. Provides high-quality user support including analysis, troubleshooting, and training.
• Applies business process and analysis concepts and department/unit and location policies and procedures to resolve a variety of business process problems. Works on business process issues of limited to moderate scope where evaluation of processes, procedures and data requires analysis using a variety of factors.

  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be available to travel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT. Experience using technologies including ServiceNow (Case Management, Asset Management, Performance Analytics), Jira, Confluence.

  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills. Contributes to research, planning, and troubleshooting efforts.

  • Demonstrated skills associated with analysis of processes and issues of moderate scope, information flow and architecture.

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with the ServiceNow Performance Analytics module.

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with custom report and dashboard development in ServiceNow.

Preferred

• Knowledge or experience working with Tableau analytics software.
