Under general supervision, the New Grad RN identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluated results for a wide variety of patient populations within the Emergency Department. Directs and acts as resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned. Promotes compliance and support of policies. Achieves trust in professional collegial relationships.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
An active California RN license is required by start date.
BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get UCSD ART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have less than six (6) months of RN experience.
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work within a busy team environment.
- Externship/Internship/Preceptorship in Emergency Services or Critical Care.
- PALS Certification.
- Community service and/or volunteer work.
- Must be willing to work in both Emergency Departments (Hillcrest and La Jolla) as needed.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
