Sr. Epic Ambulatory Application Analyst will be responsible to implement, build, maintain and optimize Epic EMR system with a focus on ambulatory, orders and workflows with an additional focus on orders. Sr. Analyst must have knowledge of the Epic EMR software, operations and workflow, and work closely with the project team's clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality.
The Sr. Analyst is expected to have Epic knowledge and build expertise in orders (lab, rad, procedures etc.), charge capture and general ambulatory. Sr. Analyst is expected to be able to work with clinicians to translate workflows to Epic functionality, identify gaps, provide mutually agreeable solutions to close workflow gaps. Involves design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems.
The Sr. Analyst provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Nine (9) years or more of related experience, education/training building and troubleshooting with EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient Procedure orders, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus five (5) years or more of related experience/training building and troubleshooting with EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient Procedure orders.
Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four (4) months of initial hire.
Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- EPIC Certification or Proficiency in EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient Procedure Orders.
- Proven experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead large scale initiatives.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
