This position will be hired at the Research Data Analyst 1 or Research Data Analyst 2 level depending on the experience of the selected candidate.

Under direct supervision, acquires skills and knowledge of professional concepts in research data analysis. Works on small projects or segments of projects with limited scope and complexity. The main responsibility is to perform sequence analysis and genotyping. This includes executing established pipelines using Bash scripting and software such as PLINK, GCTA, STITCH and IMPUTE2; performing routine quality control for data inputs and analysis outputs, assisting with data organization and backup. The successful applicant will have exceptional written and verbal communication, will carefully document their work and annotate their code. Excellent organization skills are required in order to work as part of a team.
Research Data Analyst 1: Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training OR Research Data Analyst 2: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training AND two or more years of relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of Linux-based workflow development, including Bash scripting. Experience in developing multi step analysis pipelines/workflows using scripting languages.
Demonstrated experience in handling big data sets.
Demonstrated experience in programming languages, including R and Python.
Thorough knowledge of Linux, Windows, High Performance Computing, cloud technologies such as Amazon EC2.
Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
Demonstrated ability to review related literature to maintain awareness of recent developments in the field.
Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline. Experience in using software revision control systems (e.g. GIT).
Basic consultation and communication skills. Ability to carefully document their work and annotate their code.
Experience or academic courses in molecular biology, genetics, or computation biology.
Master's degree in related area.
Demonstrated experience with statistical methods and models incorporating a wide range of variable types for analysis of variance and covariance, multiple linear, logistic models, survival analysis and longitudinal models.
