THe Owen Clinic is an HIV Clinic that is culturally, LGBT diverse and located in the heart of Hillcrest. At Owen we provide a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology and a renowned research program.

The Nurse Manager for the outpatient Owen Clinic, under the direction of Medicine Specialties and Department of Medicine leadership, oversees the operational, budgetary and personnel management of this clinic.

The Nurse Manager has broad and independent responsibilities for planning, developing and managing administrative and programmatic operations as well as full fiscal oversight to include revenue management of enhancement, authorization procedures, provider RVU production and session productivity to maximize efficiency and economies of scales. Serves in conjunction with site medical directors, coordinating agenda and outcomes.

Analyze all area of clinic operations, conduct all aspects of personnel management to include recruitment, performance management, training, compensation oversight, and labor relations issues. Oversees all TJC requirements and CQI projects throughout the department. Assures accurate timekeeping and payroll for all departmental employees. Will work with independence in applying clinical and business judgment, management concepts and provide counseling to all site clinic faculty, operations manager and staff on daily operational issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSN required; will consider candidates who are currently enrolled in BSN or higher nursing degree program.

  • Five (5) years or more of RN experience.

  • Two (2) years or more of recent supervisory or management experience.

  • Proven Ambulatory Care experience.

  • Experience with financial training and oversight.

  • Experience with a large range scope of responsibility.

  • Oversight of employees.

  • Ability to contribute to short and long range business planning.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSN or Master's Degree in a relevant field.

  • PCMH (Patient-Centered Medical Home) experience.

  • Six-Sigma/Quality Improvement experience.

  • Primary Care experience.

  • Experience with HIV patients and/or at risk populations

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
