The GI Clinical Coordinator CNII is responsible for providing nursing support in the GI clinic. Directs and acts as a resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned. Successfully partners with providers to produce quality care, contributes to the growth of the gastroenterology department, including the Celiac, Advanced Procedures & IBD Programs.
The CNII assesses and provides nursing care as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The CNII is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of practice and professional performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
All performance expectations associated with this position are performed at the PRACTITIONER Level. The CNII will work in a highly visible clinic with the ability to coordinate care across the enterprise. Must be willing to cross-train to GI procedural areas.
Active California RN license.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
BART or BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum one (1) year of recent RN experience in Case Management, Ambulatory Care, and/or inpatient acute care required.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work successfully within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Case Management experience.
- Telephonic triage experience.
- EPIC/EMR experience.
- Recent ambulatory clinic, GI, or procedural RN experience.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
