Under the direct direction of the Clinical Services Manager and guidance from the Administator on Call, the Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for responding to organ donor referrals from San Diego and Imperial County hospitals. The Assistant Coordinator will be required to obtain information from hospital staff within 2 hours of initial referral. The Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for documenting the information in the Lifesharing electronic record system in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for communicating referral findings to the Administrator on Call and provide hospital staff clear communication on findings and follow up instructions. The Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for daily on-site visits of existing referrals. The Assistant Coordinator will assist Procurement Coordinators during organ donor cases with forms and charting data and information. The Assistant Coordinator will operate on a 24 hour call schedule.
- Some experience in the medical field or Organ Procurement or equivalent college course work.
Must be able to work various hours, days shifts, on-call, long hours, frequent overtime and different locations based on the 24-hour business needs.
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license in order to commute to various hospitals throughout San Diego and Imperial County.
