The job will integrate into the clinical, teaching, research and distribution systems for UCSD Health and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy state and federal regulations. Applicants should be able to interpret and apply these regulations to pharmacy operations within the UC San Diego Health according to medical center and department policies and procedures. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; as well as supervisory skills to include workload management. Qualified applicants should have a Pharm. D. and completion of a PGY1 postgraduate residency training or equivalent training. A current California Pharmacist License is required.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Stf Pharm1 or Stf Pharm2.
Less than four (4) years experience qualifies as Stf Pharm1; Four (4) + years of experience qualifies as Stf Pharm2.
Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree; or equivalent clinical experience.
Registered Pharmacist - issued by the state of California (RPH).
Pharmacy residency; or equivalent clinical experience.
Proven Unit Inspections/Regulatory Pharmacy experience.
- Supervisory skills to include workload management.
- Ability to operate computer systems.
- Demonstrated teaching skills and writing skills, which can be applied to article publication in hospital newsletter and professional journal.
- Working knowledge of state and national regulations
