UC San Diego Health is seeking an outstanding clinical Pharmacist to join a highly successful Inpatient Pharmacy team to work as a Float Pharmacist at our Hillcrest Campus. The job will integrate into the clinical, teaching, research and distribution system for UC San Diego Health and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
These activities include but are not limited to: profile review, TPN order writing, pharmacokinetics, renal drug dosing, medication reconciliation, chemotherapy order review entry and validation in our Beacon Chemotherapy Electronic Medical Record (EMR), precepting pharmacy Students from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, precepting UC San Diego Health PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, investigational drug support and other activities that optimize outcomes of drug therapy.
Under general supervision, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients, according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. Participates in Medical Center and Departmental committees and promotes institution-wide medication use policy.

Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Stf Pharm1 or Stf Pharm2.
Less than four (4) years experience qualifies as Stf Pharm1; Four (4) + years of experience qualifies as Stf Pharm2.
Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree; or equivalent clinical experience.
Registered Pharmacist - issued by the state of California (RPH).
Pharmacy residency; or equivalent clinical experience.
Proven inpatient Pharmacy experience.
- PGY2 residency training.
- Oncology treatment plans.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
