DESCRIPTION
• Provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. • Both Thornton and Hillcrest perform surgical services in Neurology, Orthopedics, Urology, Plastics, general, Oncology, Head and Neck, Vascular and Open Heart, Gynecology. Additional services at Hillcrest include Trauma and Burn surgeries. • Identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations. • Directs and acts as resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned. • Promotes compliance and support for policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must possess recent operating room experience as a circulating nurse, with scrub nurse experience preferred. • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Must be able to work within a team environment.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must possess a valid California RN license and a current BCLS certification. CNOR is preferred.
