Provide direct care to critical care patients using the nursing process in the inpatient setting. Develops and provides treatment plans as requested. Promotes self care through education. Organizes and maintains clinic equipment and supplies. The type of patients on this floor include Heart and Lung Transplants, PTE Patients, CABG's, Valve's, and Ventricular Assist Devices included Total Artificial Hearts, Stroke and Vascular Surgical patients will be on this floor. These units utilize advanced training and skills to take care of high acuity complex patients. 24 hour physician coverage on this unit.


  • Current CA RN license.
  • Must have BCLS (BART) and ACLS (ART) certifications.
  • Must have recent (within 2 years) acute care experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of recent ICU experience.
  • Must be able to complete 4 shifts per month.


  • Must be able to work variable shifts, weekends and holidays.
